Last Friday saw the 2013-14 season launch of Sky Zhao Motorsport and the 2degrees Mobile "700Z".

Unveiled on the night was Sky's refreshed drift weapon featuring an ex Matt Powers LS7 engine package, Nascar dog-box, and Winters quick-change diff.

Top Kiwi international sports-car and endurance driver Jono Lester was also announced as joining the team this year, learning to drive the rebuilt Nissan 350Z during corporate hotlap days with the aim of competing in select rounds later in the season.

CRC branding can now be seen on the updated blue-chrome livery in line with a new partnership with Sky Zhao for the coming D1NZ Championship.

The second endurance round at Hampton Downs featured longer distance racing with compulsory driver-change pit-stops. As usual Andrew Waite & Daniel gaunt pair up again to pilot @racerabe aka the Valvoline Ford FG Falcon.

Following on from winning his second national title in the 2012-13 season, now two-time Drift King Fanga Dan will again represent the Oversteer TV brand into 2014 alongside the Castrol Edge sponsored FDC drift team.

As revealed on our Facebook page earlier this month, SBPnz has annouced a new sponsorship deal with Zak Pole and the Rollei Actioncam R33 Skyline. Zak will represent the OTV brand throughout the 2014 D1NZ Championship season as well as feature in his own web-video series documenting his team’s journey through all 6 rounds of Australasia’s most prestigious drift championship.
