Drift Masters Grand Prix Champion Lauri Heinonen and the Heinonen Drift Team made their way from Finland to Auckland, New Zealand to compete in Round 3 of the 2025 D1NZ Drifting Championship held at Mt Smart Stadium.

Having watched D1NZ in the early stages of his drift career, it was a dream come true to drive with the Kiwis and compete in New Zealand for the first time. Lauri drove the JDM Racing Turbocharged LS V8 powered 180sx, alongside Australian Luke Fink in the team's sister car, a supercharged LS powered S15 Silvia.
