Deane Young Crowned The Champion in his 2JZ S13 Silvia!

Deane Young from Paeroa has won the 2025 New Zealand D1NZ Pro-SPORT Drift Series, after a down-to-the-wire fight for the overall series title.

Competing in wet and wild conditions at Tauranga's Mercury Baypark Stadium, the Watson Haulage sponsored 2JZ powered S13 Silvia suffered gearbox issues in the fight toward the finals - Young eventually finishing 4th for the event.

Despite the mechanical dramas, a top-four finish was enough to secure 336 points overall for the 235 class championship - the drift king crown taken with just 4 points ahead of Daniel Edwards in second.
