In Memory of Ken Block: WRC Rally New Zealand 2012

With the recent passing of motorsport legend Ken Block we dug around the archives a little bit and came across a little gem - flashing back to WRC Rally New Zealand in 2012, the super special stage held in the rain at the Auckland Domain.

Block, alongside Alex Gelsomino, piloted a WRC Spec Ford Fiesta RS over a 22 stage event on some famous kiwi rally roads - Sebastien Loeb in his Citroen DS3 took the win that year. A familiar face in the video of course is none other than Mad Mike - who brought along his 3-Rotor RX8 to join in the fun.

Block inspired a passion for motorsport in the young and old across the world - a motoring legend that will be missed - but not forgotten.
