Watch the opening round of the 2025 D1NZ New Zealand Drift Championship, LIVE & FREE on YouTube for the first time ever thanks to Oversteer TV.

This weekend is a massive double-header event, with both Round 1 and 2 held back-to-back on two layouts at Taupo Motorsport Park.

Friday is qualifying for both classes:

• D1NZ Pro-SPORT 235 Restricted Class

• D1NZ Pro-Championship Series

The unique double-header qualifying session will be run on the 'Normal Direction' layout, turns 1-4 at Taupo Motorsport Park.

The Pro Series will then run the 'Reverse Layout' later in the afternoon, setting their qualifying order for Round 2 on Sunday.

For the Pro-SPORT 235 Class, the finishing order from Round 1 on Saturday will set the qualifying order heading into Round 2 on Sunday.
