DriftSouth • Highlights from Round 1 at Ruapuna A-Track V2 • 2024/25 Season

The DriftSouth 2025/26 season has already kicked off with the next event happening on the 8th of November 2025 in Christchurch - check out action from last year's A-Track V2 Layout where Sheldon Kneale in his S13 from Gusto Racing Division took the win!

The day started out a bit moist which was a real challenge for the drivers in practice but dried up for the smoke & speed we were waiting for.

In Kaspa Transmissions Pro Drift, qualifying was topped by Guy Maxwell scoring 181 with his best lead & chase runs - good gap ahead of Max Ahomiro on 173 & Dylan Rastrick with 169.

Once the battles were finished off, Sheldon Kneale took the win over the OG himself Glen Pupich, Joel Cowper claimed the final spot on the podium.

Kneale also took away the best chase award with a great run early in the day.

Japrace Development Series saw the win going to Karl Sutherland scoring 173 with his best 2 laps combined, ahead of Thomas Chittock on 168 & Jake Higgs with 145.
