More than 35,000 fans from across the Lone Star State shut down Discovery Green’s iconic 12-acre park as Red Bull Showrun took over the heart of downtown Houston, Texas.

The event featured two championship-winning F1 cars driven by legendary driver and 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard in the RB7 and Red Bull Junior Driver Arvid Lindblad in the RB8.

The event marked Lindblad’s first time driving a F1 car publicly as he sped down the custom-built track in the Visa Cash App RB liveried car.

Attendees were treated to show-stopping displays of burnouts, wheelies, donuts and more by New Zealand drifting legend ‘Mad’ Mike Whiddett in his recently unveiled 'MadMac’ McLaren P1 Drift Hypercar, off-road racing champion Andrew Carlson in his Pro4 truck, and acrobat-style skills on two-wheels demonstrated by street freestyle motorcyclist Aaron Colton. Ford Mustang GT3’s race cars also joined in on the action.

To celebrate the Houston car culture, the weekend exhibition gave a heavy nod to the city’s historic roots with a lowrider parade featuring local owners and a pop-up car parade from Cars and Coffee featuring a handful of luxury and custom vehicles. Plus, the RB7 received a true Houston makeover as the car was fitted with spike-like rims (commonly referred to as elbows or swangas) in true slab fashion.
